COMMUTE SHOT

I snapped this at a stoplight on the way to work and ran it through the photo editor real quick. There’s a lot of rough sleeping and unhoused folks in the neighborhood where I work. Not sure what the story of this trunk is.

We’re prepping for a move in about a month so we’re reckoning with stuff. This trunk made me think of the material and emotional stuff we carry around. (Maybe we should bring back that 70’s term “hang ups”—it’s a good one). But mainly it made me think of folks trying to hold it together and how hard that must be.
