SHOCKTOBER CONTINUED

For the last three Octobers I’ve listened to Jonathan Maberry’s Pine Deep trilogy to bring in the season - this year was book three, Bad Moon Rising. Great supernatural monster story and hero’s tale, and at the end I caught a reference to Dave Robicheaux’s soft drink of choice—Dr. Pepper with crushed ice, mint, and cherries.

I read one of John Connolly’s Charlie Parker books a long time ago. Bad Men is a free-standing novel I found on Hoopla. It’s set in the region of Maine Tracy and I visited in September. Makes it spookier.
