After the live and low-fi sprawl of 2021ʼs 21-song digital album Serve Without Delay, Dan Jones and The Squids return with Rock and Roll Daydreams, a thirty-minute vinyl distillation of their pandemic years. This is Jonesʼ 10th album project overall and second studio album with the KC-based Squids lineup.
Working again with producer-engineer Brendan ʼʼJBʼʼ Moreland at Temple Sounds in downtown KCMO, the power trio Squids grind off all the edges, with Steve Tulipana (bass) and Matt Ronan (drums) hammering hard in service of Jonesʼ witty, imaginative, and passionate songcraft.
