Are poems intended to end up on Pinterest

as a graphically designed meme?

Some some guy umpteen years ago

straps on his armor and sharpens his sword

what does he want to hear?

AC/DC, or free verse from the university system?

I really don’t know anymore

what excellence is, or needs to be,

or who is in charge, but I have guitars 

and love music for cars, bars, and twinkling stars.
