COOKING OUR WAY THROUGH

I’ve been reading Treme: Stories and Recipes From The Heart of New Orleans and it’s a little bit melancholy because there’s a thread of recovery in the book, post Katrina, that now feels like a long time ago given current events.

Maybe recovery is a myth to let go of...things just change and people bounce back again and again, in a new way.  With food and music and togetherness. (Easy for me to say.)

I made a Chilean sea bass dish last night with carmelized onions and tomatoes, on a bed of puréed sweet potato🍠 .  Turned out pretty good, just winged it.
