SUNDAY MORNING COMIN' DOWN: GLEN CAMPBELL + HASH BROWNS + BEGGIN' MALTESE GIF

Glen Cambell's Gentle On My Mind LP has become our steady Sunday morning album.  It is so great.

I watched Takeshi Kitano's film Fireworks--this is the fourth or fifth of his movies I've seen in the last year or so.  I love the way he uses his own paintings in the set design.  Art as a therapy for one of the characters in the film is prominent too.

There is some hard-hitting, stoic violence in the film, and no one  does deadpan like Takeshi Kitano.  Clint Eastwood's deadpan is melodramatic by comparison.  So the expressiveness of the visual art is all the more strange and wonderful.
