NEW VINYL SET UP TO MAKE A HOME FOR THIS RAD 47 YEAR ITCH RECORD
We re-set the TV room and brought records down from upstairs. One of the things I like best about this is that I traded in a few dozen records for credit and made some space so these are more easily browsed. The legs are from Lowes to make the Ikea shelves less stark.
Speaking of records, we have been listening to this 47 Year Itch record a lot, courtesy of Dr. Derek Trost. It's an album project he did with Terry Rouch in Indiana and I LOVE IT. Very casual, offhand, and comfy reminding me both of JJ Cale, classic country, and Giant Sand. Great songs, twisted and idiosyncratic, well clear of the trite Americana zone. The pedal steel is kind of psychedelic and in its own pocket.
