RY COODER DISCOGRAPHY COMMUTE WEEK 2

It took two weeks, and I thoroughly enjoyed it--a nearly 5-decade run of great music, at a time when low-key virtuosic grooving, goofy wisdom, and down to earth moral indignation was much needed in my little bubble car.  Sometimes you need a good long check-in with a master of something.  Sometimes, as in every day.

I got to his most recent album on what would have been my Mom's 92nd birthday.  She liked classical music and choral music, and maybe a little Dolly Parton, but I think she's down with this one.  I know I am, and it sure made me think of her.  She disapproved of the racket I started making in my teens but by the end I think she thought it was kind of neat, and had a Squids sticker on her desk.
