Mark E. Smith, Ursula LeGuin, and Hugh Masekala--it was a rough week for the arts. 

And when I include Mark E. Smith, I do mean THE ARTS--WESTERN CIV--THE HUMANITIES.   Just skip grad school.

Amazing writing in a primitive cool rock and roll setting, nothing like it, for thirty...forty years.

A {person} must dream a long time in order to act with grandeur, and dreaming is nursed in darkness.
