RED SUN IN THE WEST
We caught the sunset on the way to the Kauffman foundation park yesterday evening. It was an amazing red orange and looked cool through the thick, laminated architectural glass feature at Volker and Troost intersection. I'm figuring this was due to fires in the West, which have so many of our friends stuck indoors with dangerous air conditions outside.
We also spooked a juvenile blue heron that took out all flappy across the pond, but Mom or Dad hung around unperturbed. The Kaufmanns built my favorite basebal team and now we are so lucky to get to live by their Foundation and grounds, which the dogs love.
And this orb spider was hanging out above the pepper patch out back. We are having a banner year for peppers and spiders.
