RAINY EXCURSION KEEPS THE POWDER DRY
I'd been meaning to check out the Rio Theatre in old Overland Park and finally got out there yesterday to escape the rain. It's a quaint place to see an independent film and the popcorn was fresh. Their Finest was a good historical comedy-drama, I liked it a lot. Little one screen theatres are some of my favorite places on earth.
I also went to Mills Records and picked up the Soul Jazz comp Boombox 1: Early Independent Hip Hop, Electro and Disco Rap: 1979-1982. I can imagine Joe Strummer grooving on this cassette in a giant American car. It's totally boss.
When Oregon weather settles into KC, this is one way to keep the powder dry.
