SCIENCE FICTION CURRENCY -- FROM THE PAST

Night before last, I Youtubed the Sun Ra documentary A Joyful Noise,  then drifted in and out before falling asleep to Sun Ra on autoplay all night.  

Sun Ra music and interview footage woke me intermittently during the night.  My fitness bracelet tracked almost 2.5 hours of deep sleep, close to a record.  I awoke awake.  I recommend this.  It is cheaper than going to a spa.

The music is not part of this planet in a sense that the spirit of it is about happiness. Most musicians play earth things about what they know, but I found out that they are mostly unhappy and frustrated, and that creeps over into their music.

My birthday vinyl crawl was fun, I picked up records by MIA, Kool and The Gang, Chic, Rufus and Chaka Khan, The Clean, and Il Sogno del Marinaio.  My playlist is starting to hop.
