HYBORIAN

 

A savvy record clerk at Mill's Record Company suggested I'd like this new record by KC band Hyborian after I said I was looking for something heavy.  He was kind of psychic and said "if you like Baroness you'll like this." I do like Baroness, and beyond them and Mastodon and Red Fang, I don't know that much about heavy, progressive metal.  I didn't end up buying the vinyl but I bought it on Bandcamp.  It's heavy alright, and creative, and they play gigs around here.
